At 3 PM on October 22nd, a solo art exhibition titled Dawn – The Good in the Heart Will Come True by Shen Yongji opened at the Ningbo In & Out Art Gallery.
Shen Yongji is a native of Ningbo. He studied at the Traditional Sculpture Studio of the Sculpture Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) for both his bachelor's and master's degrees. In addition, he was sent as a government-sponsored student to the Athens School of Fine Arts in Greece, where he established a direct connection with Western classical sculpture. Academic tradition and classicism form the starting point and foundation of Shen Yongji's artistic journey. During his travels across Europe, he also gained an in‑depth understanding of modern and contemporary Western art concepts.
The exhibition Dawn presents Shen Yongji as an artist with one hand rooted in tradition and the other reaching into the contemporary.
